MARRIAGE MINISTRY
AT THE MEETING HOUSE
At The Meeting House, we value healthy, thriving, God-honoring marriages that, at their best, exemplify Christ’s love for the church. We strive to offer programming and resources to equip couples on their journey towards Christlikeness through loving God and loving each other well.

Facets of the Marriage Ministry
For Pre-Marital Couples
For premarital couples we offer a Marriage Preparation class where couples take the Prepare/Enrich assessment and attend a group class. The Prepare/Enrich assessment is a widely known and used tool with a solid research foundation and applicability. It has over 1200 published articles supporting its reliability and validity. The course also includes materials from the Gottman Institute which produces leading research in the field of marriage therapy.
At the conclusion of the class we highly encourage couples to be matched with a marriage mentor couple that will walk with them in an intentional relationship throughout the first year of their marriage.
The Marriage Course
Opportunities for marriage enrichment are provided throughout the year in the form of The Marriage Course which is offered through the Alpha International organization. The marriage course is a 7 part video series that provides time for learning and discussions between spouses on the topics of the art of communication, resolving conflict, the power of forgiveness, the impact of family, good sex, and love in action.
The next Marriage Course will be held on Fridays, beginning, Oct. 11 from 6:30-9pm at TMH Dillsburg.
Marriage Mentors
Marriage mentors are couples who have several years of marriage experience and have walked through a process of intentional reflection, assessment and discussion regarding their own marriage and have a heart to support others in their marriage relationship. The goal is for a mentor couple to intentionally invest in and develop a relationship with a mentee couple over the course of at least one year.
Marriage mentors are offered “mentor meet-ups” which are group gatherings in an effort to provide support, community and accountability among mentor couples.
Couples who are interested in meeting with a mentor couple can should complete the form below.
For Couples in Crisis
For couples in crisis, we have collated a list of professional counselors to provide to these couples as well as a mentor couple who is skilled at walking with couples in crisis.
To recieve a copy of this list for yourself or someone else, or to be in touch with a Marriage Ministry leader, contact TMH at office@tmh.church.
